What is Thermofoil?
Rigid thermofoil or RTF is a form of laminate; it`s a vinyl film applied to a substrate with heat and pressure. Thermofoil is available in a large variety of solid and wood grain colors, including metallic and other patterns. Most often used in cabinetry, thermofoil products are easy to care for and are not likely to chip.
What is MDF?
MDF is an engineered wood product formed by breaking down hardwood or softwood into wood fibers, combining them with resin binders, and forming into panels by applying heat and pressure. It is more dense and durable that particleboard. Because MDF is uniform, dense, smooth, and free of knots and grain patterns, it makes an excellent substitute for solid wood in many applications.
How many different thermofoil colors do you offer?
MAP Doors, Inc. stocks over 40 different thermofoil options in a variety of solid, wood grain and high gloss colors. As our stock program continues to grow to keep up with the industry’s trends, we advise you to contact us for samples of new colors that could be available.
Do you offer raw MDF products for painting?
We do offer raw MDF doors, drawers and accessories suitable for painting.
Do you sell different cabinet door styles than the ones shown online?
We have some door designs that are not included in our catalog and/or website. If you need something different than what you see, please email or fax a drawing to us and we will gladly provide you with the closest match to accommodate your needs.
Does MAP Doors, Inc. offer hinge boring?
As a convenience to our customers, hinge boring and hinges are available for an additional charge.
Can I order samples of your products?
Samples are available upon request.
What are your tolerances? Can I order exact sizing?
We manufacture to a tolerance of +/- 1/32”. We will accept orders in fraction up to 1/16”.
What is your standard lead time?
Your order should be ready for pick up on or before the 7th business day. An approved order will not be processed, until payment has been received, based on your credit terms.
What options are there for shipping orders?
Standard shipping options include UPS, FedEx or Southeastern Freight Line. Other options may be available upon request.
What is your warranty?
MAP Doors warrants its parts to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of five years. Warranty does not include, nor will any consideration be given to any damage through abuse, misuse, or improper handling, modification or incorrect installation of products.
